W. Jeanette Craven, 87, of Walton, KY, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2025.

Born to the late Austin and Tevis Mae (Poteet) Campbell, Jeanette lived a life centered on family, faith, creativity, and the joy of simple pleasures. She was a devoted member of Nicholson Christian Church and carried her faith with her in all she did.

Jeanette had a natural gift for crafting and ceramics and was a proud master gardener whose green thumb brought beauty to every place she lived. She loved to travel and see new places, always bringing home stories—and often handmade treasures—to share with her loved ones. In the kitchen, she was known for being a wonderful cook, and her family will forever remember her famous tuna casserole.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank Craven Jr.; her parents; and her sister, Betty Hall.

Jeanette is survived by her children; Frank “Toby” (Belinda) Craven, Donn (Donna) Craven, Karla Umberg (Mary McFadden) and Jeffrey (Kari) Craven; her sister, Gloria (Lenny) Ferguson; 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. She leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth, and creativity that will continue to live on in all who knew her.

Her family will cherish the memories she created and the kindness she shared throughout her 87 years.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 1, 2025 at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051 from 10am-12pm. Service will begin at 12pm with burial to follow in Floral Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association, Sawyer Point Building, 720 E.
