Obituary For Jeff E. Fischer
Jeff E. Fischer, 65, died on January 23, 2026, at his home in Fort Thomas, Kentucky. Jeff was the Founder of One Stop Liquors and the owner of the BP gas station in Bellevue, Kentucky, where he built not only successful businesses, but lasting relationships throughout the community he loved.
Born on October 24, 1960, in Fort Thomas, Kentucky, to Richard and Joan (Mader) Fischer, Jeff was a man who truly loved life. He was known for his easygoing spirit, his generosity, and his steady belief that “there’s always tomorrow.” Whether fishing, helping someone with a project, or lending a hand to a friend, Jeff was never in a hurry and never too busy to show up. He gave back freely, saw the good in people, and was the kind of person who would help anyone, anytime.
Jeff was a devoted husband and best friend to his wife, Catherine. Their bond was one of deep friendship, laughter, and shared joy and compassion that those around them admired. He was a wonderful and loving father to his daughters and a proud grandfather who cherished time with his grandchildren. As a stepfather, Jeff was accepting, caring, and deeply loved, someone his stepchildren admired and enjoyed spending time with.
He had a gift for humor and could always find a way to laugh, whether through a carefully planned prank, a silly joke, or something goofy to lighten the moment. Many will remember his laugh, his warmth, and the way he could make any situation feel lighter. Jeff was “dad to many,” the person you called for advice, repairs, a tool, or reassurance. He was open-hearted, open-minded, curious and always up for something new. A loyal friend, he maintained lifelong connections, many dating back to childhood, and always made time for those he cared about.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Catherine Gausvik, daughters Mallory (Paul) Kloeker and Whitney (Matthew) Frommeyer, stepchildren Dr. Christian (Cody) Gausvik, Dr. Brendan (Brit) Gausvik and Tyler Gausvik, brother Todd (Cindy) Fischer, sister Cynthia Fischer, brother Matthew Fischer, brother Richard (Tara) Fischer, grandchildren Gabby Kloeker, Collin Kloeker, Carlo Frommeyer and Illeana Frommeyer. Jeff is also survived by his nieces and nephews; Todd Fischer Jr., Dustin Fischer, Josh Meyer (Adele), Emily Osborne (Gil), Kristin Kreinest (Greg), Eric Fischer (Emily), Stephanie Buechel (Buechel), Kyle Fischer, Cassie Fischer, Maddie Fischer, and many great nieces and nephews.
Jeff was a gift to his family, his friends, and his community. He will be remembered for his kindness, laughter, generosity, and the way he made people feel welcome, supported, and at ease.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at the Fort Mitchell Country Club, 450 Fort Mitchell Ave. Fort Mitchell, KY 41011.
