Karen Nichols Gay, 74 years of age, of Union, Kentucky, entered into rest on Thursday, July 25, 2024. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, to her late parents, Edward L. and Lillian (Stark) Nichols. She is preceded in death by her sisters, Bonnie Shearer and Kitty Lou Rodriguez and her brother, Edward Nichols, Jr. Karen is survived by her life partner, Vickie Legg; son, Shawn Nichols (Carly); her grandchildren, Savannah, Jacinda, Isabella, and Sophie Nichols; her brother and sisters, Lindsey Nichols (Eileen), Peggy Stratman (Paul), Janice Kincaid (Bill), Connie Alfred, and Norma Labare; and her beloved nieces, Beth McNay, Jessica Orr and Johnny Star, and many other nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved. Karen enjoyed gardening, cooking, and Sunday dinners. Above all, she loved her family and grandchildren. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
