Obituary For Kathy Lynn Marsh
Kathy Lynn Marsh, a spirited and loving soul, passed away on December 7, 2023, in Edgewood, Kentucky. Born in Covington, Kentucky, Kathy's friendly demeanor and zest for life touched all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will be forever held in the hearts of her family and friends.
Kathy's journey began as a cherished daughter in Covington, where she grew up surrounded by a bustling household of siblings. Her infectious laughter and warm presence would later grace the life of her devoted husband, Les, to whom she was married for 54 fulfilling years. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support for one another.
As a mother, Kathy was both a guiding light and a steadfast supporter. Her son, Dave, and his wife, Sandy, were blessed with her nurturing spirit and wise counsel. Kathy's love extended to her sisters, Pat Shelton and her husband Sonny, and Libby Goodridge and her husband Larry, who will dearly miss her companionship and endless encouragement.
Kathy's legacy continues through her ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, who were the apple of her eye. She found immeasurable joy in their achievements and adventures, and she instilled in them the values of kindness and determination. Kathy was a central figure in their lives, and her absence will be deeply felt.
Though she was preceded in death by her beloved parents, eight brothers, and her daughter, Alisha Meece, Kathy's spirit of resilience and love will live on through the stories and memories shared by those who loved her.
Kathy's interests were as vibrant and varied as her personality. She had a passion for cooking, an activity through which she expressed her love and creativity. Her knack for bickering was all in good fun, a testament to her spirited nature and the close relationships she maintained. Kathy found relaxation in playing games on her computer and socializing with friends, with whom she shared many a laugh and good conversation.
An avid sports fan, Kathy could often be found cheering on her favorite teams, the Cincinnati Reds, UK Basketball, and the Cincinnati Bengals. Her enthusiasm was contagious, making game days an exciting event for all who joined her.
Above all, Kathy cherished the moments spent with her family and her beloved dogs, Roscoe and Flash. Her home was a haven of warmth and joy, a place where all were welcome and love abounded.
As we bid farewell to Kathy, we take solace in knowing that her spirit endures, guiding us with the same love and grace that she bestowed so freely in life. Her story does not end here, for she lives on in each act of kindness and every shared moment of joy within her cherished circle of family and friends. Rest in peace, dear Kathy. Your love will forever be our guide.
