Obituary For Loma Blanche Marqua

Loma Blanche Marqua, age 79, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2026. She was born on July 28, 1946.

Loma spent her early years visiting her grandparents’ farm in Corbin, Kentucky — a place that remained close to her heart throughout her life. She later made her home in Covington, Kentucky, where she built a life centered on family, faith, and learning.

She graduated from Holmes High School in 1964. With determination and dedication, Loma continued her education while raising her daughters, eventually earning her degree from Northern Kentucky University — an accomplishment she was very proud of.

Loma found joy in simple and meaningful things. She loved to read and could often be found with a good book in hand. She also enjoyed painting, expressing her creativity through art. One of her favorite places to visit was Myrtle Beach, where she made many cherished memories with family and friends.

For many years, Loma was a faithful member of The Cornerstone Fellowship in Covington, where she volunteered whenever she could and formed lasting friendships within her church community.

Loma was loved by many people and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Jones; her mother, Vida “Jean” Shultz; and her stepfather, Maynard Schutz.

She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Marqua; her two daughters, Alice Marqua and Rebecca Stickrod; her sisters, Kathie Hillner, Connie Holden, and Kim Tiemeier; and three cherished grandchildren.
