Obituary For Lori A. Nurre
Lori A. Nurre, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, cousin, mentor, neighbor, and best friend, passed away on June 12th , 2025 at the young age of 63. Lori bravely fought a 10 month long battle against melanoma that had spread to her brain. She was born in northern Kentucky on August 12, where she spent most of her full life. Lori is a lover of storytelling, gardening, baking, music, and traveling. She led her life as a maverick, with courage, passion, humor, and most of all, love. She is a creator of magic moments for her community and always made the ordinary feel extraordinary. Lori is known for having great hairstyles, hosting great parties where all are welcome, and showing up a little fashionably late. Lori also had a 40 year long career as a Sales leader within the staffing industry. She is proudly survived by her legacy, her 6 children Josh (Toni), Zack (Victoria), Rachel (Yakov), Erin (Octavia), Jacob (Emma) and Emma; and grandchildren Finleigh, Cooper, Abel, Romi, Rafael, Lily and Ben. She is also survived by her father James Ruehl and her siblings Pam Kool (Neil) and Jeff Ruehl. Lori was preceded in death by her mother Joann Ruehl.
Visitation will be on June 24th, 2025 from 10am-12pm at Mother of God Church, 119 W Sixth St. Covington, KY 41011. Mass of Christian burial will take place following the visitation at 12pm. Reception lunch to follow, 1-4pm at the White House Event Center, 251 Dudley Rd, Edgewood, KY 41017. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions are suggested to be sent to the Greater Cincinnati Non-profit,cancerfamilycare.org in her honor.
