Obituary For Mary Rita Jordan

Mary Rita Jordan, 82, of Walton, Kentucky passed away at Boonespring Nursing Facility on Wednesday, January 3, 2024.

Mary Rita was born in Covington, Kentucky on December 9, 1941, to the late Thomas and Catherine Jordan.

Mary Rita was a loving mother and grandmother. In her career she was a mental health nurse, whose passion was caring for the elderly and homeless. She loved dogs and helping others through dog therapy.

In addition to her parents, Mary Rita is preceded in death by her brother, Thomas “Buzz” Jordan, uncle and aunt Bill and Rita Snyder and her first husband, Paul L. Tagher, M.D.

Mary Rita is survived by her sons, Paul Tagher (May), Marc Tagher (Sandy), Dr. Robert Tagher (Gannon), daughters, Mimi Tagher (Mary Ellen Moore), Michele Ciolino (Bob) and 8 grandchildren.

A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, January 8, 2024, from 5:00-7:00pm at Linnemann Funeral Home, 1940 Burlington Pike, Burlington, Kentucky 41005. A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday January 9, 2024, at 11:30am at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 7301 Dixie Hwy, Florence, Kentucky 41042. Burial will be immediately following at Richwood Cemetery.
