Matthew Lee Mason, 45, of Florence, KY, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at UC Medical Center. He was born in Covington, KY, to Tim Mason and the late, Susan Hamilton. Matt grew up and lived in Northern Kentucky his entire life, but one of his favorite places to visit was any beach. He loved all sports and enjoyed sitting on his deck listening to Cincinnati Reds games on the radio. Matt loved and cared for people more than they knew. He had a heart of gold and a smile that could light up any room he was in. He truly wanted the best for everyone and would do anything in his power to make that happen. Some of his greatest times were spontaneous trips, last minute tickets to a show or taking afternoons off so Fiona wouldn’t forget him. Matt is preceded in death by his mother, Susan Hamilton; maternal grandparents, Clifford and Una Faye Daniels; paternal grandmother, Lorraine Mason and fur-babies, Reggie, Phoebe and Chloe. He is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer Mason; fur-baby, Zoee; father, Tim Mason; step-father, Steven Hamilton; siblings, Alan (Danielle) Knox, Miranda (Anthony) McClure and Ashlee Robinson (Adam Dillingham); paternal grandfather, Ronald Mason; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jeff and Pam Davis; brother-in-law, Josh (Michelle) Davis; nieces and nephews, Mason, Maddox and Scarlett McClure, Preston and Owen Knox, Taylor Bedford, Tucker Robinson, Baylee, Piper and Harper Davis, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Matt is gone too soon but the love he had for his family and friends will never fade. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 24 from 4-6 PM followed by a Celebration of Life service at 6 PM at Stith Funeral Home, 7500 US Highway 42, Florence, KY 41042.
