Obituary For Matthew Wayne Moore
Matthew Wayne Moore, age 38 of Walton, Kentucky passed away on August 9, 2023. Matthew was born on October 7, 1984 in Fort Thomas, Kentucky. He graduated from Boone County High School and earned a computer sciences degree from Northern KY University. He thoroughly enjoyed his job in the computer programming industry and had many interests outside of his employment. Chief among his interests were participating in on-line role-playing games, RPG Board games, reading fantasy novels; especially those written by Terry Brooks and Anne McCafferty, fantasy and science fiction movies and TV programs and working out with his personal trainer. He was also known to enjoy a glass of fine scotch with an equally fine cigar. He is survived by his parents Darleen Poe (Tom) and Richard Moore (Rayeann) as well as his brothers Jared Moore, Thomas Poe Jr. and Travis Poe, Sr as well as nieces and nephews Alexandra Poe, Hailey Poe, Thomas Poe III, Emma Poe and Travis Poe Jr. The Visitation will be from 9 AM – 12 PM with the Funeral Service to follow at 12 PM on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at Florence Baptist Temple, 1898 Florence Pike, Burlington, Ky 41005. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Taylor Mill, KY 41015. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Mayo Clinic for colorectal cancer research. Memorials can be made by check and sent to Mayo Clinic Department of Development, 200 1st Street S.W., Rochester, MN 55905 or by calling the Development office at 1-800-297-1185 with credit card information in Matthew’s memory and designated for colorectal cancer research.
