Obituaries

Nancy Anita Hogan Goetz, age 80, of Walton, KY, passed away Monday, December 2, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood, KY. She worked various jobs over the years including as a Florist, a Substitute Teacher, and an Office Manager, but her greatest “labor of love” was a Homemaker and Grandmother, helping to raise her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Nancy grew up on a farm and felt “idle hands were evil hands.” She enjoyed staying busy gardening, fishing, camping, boating, and traveling. Over the years, she was blessed to have traveled with her family camping and site seeing many different areas around the country. Nancy loved her family and put them ahead of everything. Not only her immediate family, but all of her nieces and nephews were like children to her as well. They were around often and felt very loved. She was preceded in death by her parents, William “Happy” and Verna Lilly Hogan; and siblings, James Hogan, Jean Scheben, Bob Hogan, June Canavan, and Phyllis Hogan. Nancy is lovingly survived by her husband of 59 years, Chris Goetz; her children, Debbie (Nick) Repka and Tammy (Buddy) Tate; grandchildren, Chris (Colleen) Repka, Ashley (Kyle) Eversole, Kayleighanne Repka, Ahnna Marie Tate, and Elisha Tate; great grandchildren, Olivia Repka, Bennett Repka, Brynlee Eversole, and Tucker Eversole; and sisters, Pat Hammack and Betty (Dave) Art. Visitation for Nancy will be Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm with her Celebration of Life Service beginning at 12:30 pm.
