Nancy Pierce Handy, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2024, in Burlington, Kentucky, at the age of 77. Born on March 3, 1947, in Valera, Texas, Nancy's life was a testament to the strength and love she carried within her heart.

Nancy's journey began as the beloved daughter of her late parents and grew as she became a sister to Dot Steelman, Vicky Evans, Bud Handy, and Jackie Handy. Her life was further enriched by her siblings Mary York, Ju Bumpas, Judy Miller, and Johnny Handy, who preceded her in death. Nancy's legacy continued through her loving marriages with the late George Pierce and Jerry Glover.

Blessed with a large and loving family, Nancy was a devoted mother to her daughters Gwen (James) Baldwin, Paula (Tommy) Parker, Judy Johnson, Donna Johnson, Jennifer Warfield and her sons George Pierce and Michael Pierce. Her nurturing spirit extended to her 20 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and a cherished great-great-grandchild, each of whom brought immense joy and pride to her life.

Nancy's work ethic was unparalleled. She served her community with dedication as a barmaid at several establishments. Her commitment to her work was matched only by her devotion to her family and friends. Nancy was known for her selfless nature, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her loving personality was the cornerstone of her character, and her short temper was always eclipsed by the immense love she had for those around her.

Her interests were simple yet profound. Nancy found great pleasure in spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
