Paul Thomas Brown, age 77, of Florence, Kentucky, passed away on February 19, 2026. Paul was born in Paris, Tennessee, on October 3, 1948.

Paul proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a dedicated advocate for helping fellow veterans. He enjoyed playing chess, poker and watching sporting events. In high school, he was a state champion in cross country. Paul also had a love for black licorice, black Russians, and hot wings — the hotter, the better.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Brown and Althea Hall Brown.

Paul is survived by his loving daughters, Susan Garabedian (David), Melissa Perkins (Paul), and Pamela Shadaia (Sean); his son, James Paul Brown II (Melissa); his sisters, Cynthia Paul (Geoffrey) and Cathy Brown Roberts; as well as 10 grandchildren (Dawson, Audrey, Taylor, Ethan, Isaac, Miriam, Adam, Daniel, Joseph, and Bruce), three nieces (Kerstin, Chelsea, and Lauren), and one nephew (Aaron).

A Committal Service with Military Honors will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, February 23, 2026, at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North, 205 Eibeck Lane, Williamstown, Kentucky 41097.
