Obituary For Roger Dale Griffith
Roger Dale Griffith, 77, of Alexandria, Kentucky, passed away on February 11, 2026. Roger was born in Breathitt County and was the son of Edward and Geraldine (Spicer) Griffith.
Roger was a teacher and Assistant Principal at Newport Junior High School. He enjoyed woodworking, crafting custom furniture, and remodeling. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Charles Griffith and Gary Griffith.
Roger is survived by his loving wife, Shirley; his daughter, Danielle (Jay) Yelton; his sister, Phyllis (Bill) Patrick; his grandchildren, Johnathan, Justin, and Zoey; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A memorial visitation will be held at Cooper Funeral Home on Sunday, February 15, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., with the memorial service beginning at 2:00 p.m.
