Obituary For Ruth D. Davis
Ruth D. Davis, age 95, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2024. Ruth was born to the late Bernard and Matilda Eibes on March 22, 1929 in Covington, KY.
Ruth is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Jerome F. Davis; step-mother Catherine Thaman Eibes; sisters: Mary Joan (Robert) McManus and Patricia (Harold) Short; brother-in-law, Roger Brockman.
Ruth was a beacon of compassion and love, her heart radiating warmth to all who knew her. She was deeply devoted to her family with their well-being always her utmost concern. Among Ruth’s many passions were her garden where she found solace among the trees and blossoms. She found beauty in the simplicity of nature and joy in watching and hearing the birds sing. She loved to read.
Ruth always loved engaging her wide circle of family and friends. Her infectious laughter and genuine kindness left an indelible mark on all who knew her. She had a knack for bringing people together and her home was often filled with many visitors.
Ruthie had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed the simple pleasures of life indulging in Hallmark movies to engaging in lively games of dominoes. Another joy for Ruth was being a devoted fan cheering on the Cincinnati Reds.
Above all, Ruth cherished her family: children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her devotion had no bounds and she leaves that legacy of love, laughter and unwavering positivity.
Ruth is survived by her six children: Steve Davis, Linda (Jim) Goetz, Diana Davis, Greg (Karen) Davis, Cherie (Doug) Myers, Pam Brownfield; her sister, Kathy (Brockman) Baute; 8 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
A visitation for Ruth will be held at Mary Queen of Heaven Church on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 from 10:00-11:00 am with Mass following immediately. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery located in Ft, Mitchell, KY. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mary Queen of Heaven Church. https://secure.myvanco.com/L-Z2D7/home
