Obituary For Stanley M. Krebs

Stanley M. Krebs, 94, of Southgate, Ky. gained his eternal rest on Saturday, July 29th. He was an active member of St. Therese Parish in Southgate, Ky. Stan was called home to be with his parents George and Julia (Strategier) Krebs and his beloved brother Rev. Paul Krebs.

As an Army veteran who served in the Korean War he went on to serve the city of Southgate as an auxiliary police officer for a short time. He retired after thirty-seven years from Cincinnati Bell Telephone where he worked as a switchman.

Stan enjoyed the simple things in life such as cars, watching baseball, great conversation and a good roast beef sandwich. However, what he enjoyed most of all was his family. Every minute spent with any one of them brought him his greatest joy. He was immensely proud of his family. His quick wit and sarcasm have been passed down through the generations and will live on in the laughter he created.

Stan’s legacy will continue on with his wife of seventy years, Ruth Ann (Wagner) Krebs and their five children, Mike (Lois) Krebs, Judy (Don) Gamble, Tom (Connie) Krebs, Patty (Alan) Feldman and Denise Krebs-Schry. He will also be dearly missed by his twelve grandchildren Greg, Stacy, Geoff, Stephanie, Ryan, Scott, Troy (Stan’s angel grandchild), Lauren, Michael, Anna, Patrick, Mitchel and fifteen great grandchildren.

Stan is also survived by his brother George (Shirley) Krebs of Clinton, TN. and their children along with countless beloved members of the Wagner family.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 P.M. Thursday August 3rd at Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, 427 S. Ft. Thomas Ave., Fort Thomas, KY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Therese Church, Southgate, KY. on Friday August 4th, at 10:30 A.M. with Rev. Paul Berschied as the Celebrant.

Memorials in Stan’s honor may be made to St. Therese Church, 11 Temple Place, Southgate, KY. 41071 or Newport Central Catholic 13 Carothers Rd. Newport, KY. 41071 and Carmel Manor, 100 Carmel Manor Road, Fort Thomas, KY 41075. Special condolences and memories may be given at www.dmefuneral.com.
