Obituary For Sue Stratman Groneck
Sue Stratman Groneck, 87, of Covington, KY, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 surrounded by her loving family and caregivers. She was a member of Holy Cross Parish in Covington (Latonia), KY and was active in many ministries. Sue worked as an educator since she was 18 years old. She had a Montessori method of teaching throughout her career. Sue was a bargain hunter and enjoyed finding good deals. She enjoyed traveling with her family and was an avid Cincinnati Reds baseball fan. Sue was also an artist and enjoyed crafting. She was a fan of the arts and enjoyed attending plays. Sue enjoyed music and singing in the church choir. She was an avid Neil Diamond fan and shared her love of music with her family. Sue will be remembered as a kind, gentle, amazing person who inspired her family with faith and love. She was sweet, funny, and had a welcoming spirit. Sue will always be held in a special place in the hearts of her friends and family. She was preceded in death by her loving husband: Frank Groneck and siblings: Martha (Charlie) Heinrichs and Dave (Sonja) Stratman. She is survived by her children: Becky (Doug Lach) Moeller, Diana Groneck Daniels, Doug (Jenny) Groneck and Debbie Groneck; dear friend: Esmeralda (late: John) Gallagher; 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Visitation will take place on Friday, October 31, 2025 from 11:00 AM until the Family Welcoming Message at 11:50 AM, followed by the Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 PM (Noon) at Holy Cross Church, 3612 Church Street, Covington (Latonia), KY 41015. Private Interment will follow at Mother of God Cemetery in Fort Wright, KY. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association c/o alz.org.
