Obituaries

Theresa Marie Spicer (Haas) passed into eternal life on Sunday, September 14th, 2025. Theresa was born October 24th, 1941, to James and Rosemary (Kemplin) Haas and grew up in Fort Thomas, Kentucky. She attended St. Thomas grade school and high school. Theresa enjoyed growing up in a large, close-knit family. Theresa married and became a young mother of three. She loved being involved in her grandchildren’s lives and helping to care for them. She took immense pride in them and her great grandchildren.

Theresa had many friends who she enjoyed going out with to listen to music and dance. She was a past member of St Therese Catholic Parish in Southgate, Kentucky. Theresa was preceded in death by her Father, James Haas, Mother, Rosemary Haas; Brothers, Ralph and Danny Haas, and Sister, Betty Gerrein and her beloved Son, Robert (Bob) Spicer.

Theresa is survived by her Son, Mike (Jan) Spicer, Daughter, Vicki (Reggie) Thomas, Brother, James (the late Jo Ann) Haas, Brother, Joe (Elaine) Haas, Sister, Rose Kelley, Sister, Patty (Ron) Dawn, Grandchildren, Jay (Katie) Spicer, Julie (Zach) Vater, Brittany (Chris) Folck, Chanel (Chris) Placke Wells, Paige Spicer, Christian Spicer and seven great grandchildren.

Visitation will be September 29th, 2025, from 9 a.m.-10 a.m. with mass to follow at Holy Spirit Catholic Parish, St Stephen’s Church, 825 Washington Street, Newport, KY 41071.
