Obituary For Thomas Edwin Butsch
Thomas Edwin Butsch, 92, of Cold Spring, KY. passed away on October 14, 2025, at Madonna Manor Nursing Home in Villa Hills, KY. He was born March 17, 1933, to the late Jerome and Margaret (née Hesselmann) Butsch in Covington, KY. Tom attended Holmes High School. Worked at CG&E – He served in the United States Navy from 1952 until his honorable discharge in 1960 and returned to CG&E. Tom and his wife were members of St. Joseph Church in Cold Spring, KY. He volunteered much of his time to St. Joseph Church and School through "STP" Spare Time Parishioner. Tom was a member of the Friendly Aces Social Club at the Standard Club for many years. Tom and Mary loved to travel with the Camping Group & Friendly Aces Nationally and Globally. Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ellen Butsch, son, Michael Butsch, parents, Jerome & Margaret Butsch, siblings, Ruth Duffy, Bobby Butsch, Jane Rankin and Peggy Butsch. Tom is survived by his daughters, Barb (Garry) Rosenberger and Sally (Jim) Wilson, sons, Larry (Betsy) Butsch, Ken (Jenny) Butsch, Daughter in Law Patti Butsch. Tom’s surviving siblings, Sue (Butsch) Davis and Dr. Richard Butsch, nine (9) grandchildren and fifth-teen (15) great-grandchildren. Visitation & Mass will be held at St. Joseph Church, Cold Springs, KY. Saturday Nov-8th Visitation: 10:00 am to 11:00 am, Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. The family invite all to join them for a Reception following the Mass: Location to be announced. Burial (Immediate Family) will take place in the St. Stephen Cemetery, Fort Thomas, Kentucky. Memorials are suggested to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, Shriners Children's, Processing Center, PO Box 947765, Atlanta, GA 30394 or to the St. Joseph Educational Foundation 4011 Alexandria Pike, Cold Spring, KY 41076.
