Obituaries

Thomas Patrick Flynn, age 71, of Florence, KY, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2023. Tom (Tommy) was born in Norwood, OH on November 19, 1951, to John and Catherine Ann Flynn. He was a graduate of Purcell High School, Cincinnati, OH. Tom had jobs at Cincinnati Milacron, Remke Markets in Ft. Mitchell and Florence, Biggs in Florence and finally, Meijer in Florence, from where he retired in 2021. He loved college and NFL football, but especially the Cincinnati Bengals. Tom enjoyed just sitting outside with his collie dogs, enjoying nice days and evenings. Tom is preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Ann Sharrer (April 2020) and brothers, Terry and John J. Flynn (October 2007). He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Mary Ann Flynn of Florence, KY; son, Sean Flynn of Burlington, KY; granddaughter Autumn Sharrer of Pt. Charlotte, FL, whom her “papaw” loved very much; sister-in-law, Susan Flynn and niece, Kelly Flynn Gibbs, of Cincinnati, OH. Tom loved his family and friends and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 3 from 5-7PM with a celebration of Tom’s life to follow at 7PM at Stith Funeral Homes, Florence, KY.
