Obituary For Willie Gruner Tincher
Willie Gruner Tincher, 82, loving wife of Jim Tincher went to her heavenly home on Friday, October 24, 2025. She was born to the late Zelma and William Lermond Whitney on October 23, 1943 in Scottsville, Kentucky.
Willie earned a degree from Fugazzi Business College as a medical transcriptionist. Her career included roles at UK Hospital, St. Luke’s Hospital and several medical practices in Northern Kentucky.
Willie was a friend to all, including animals. She loved animals and enjoyed supporting animal rescues. She also volunteered at the Best Friends Adult Day Program in Nicholasville, KY.
Willie had an adventurous spirit and enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved to travel and was always the life of the party. She was a great bridge player and an avid UK fan. Willie loved the beach, a good glass of wine and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to her devoted husband, she is survived by their children: Raymond (Bridget) Gruner, Amanda (Mike) Vinson, and Tonya (Fred) Cox; grandchildren: Chris (Robin) Gruner, Seth Gruner, Abby Gruner, Noah Vinson, Caleb Vinson, Whitney Vinson, Kaitlyn (Matt) Coyle, Chase (Tory) Tincher, Ella Cox, and Frederick Cox; 4 great grandchildren: Elliott Gruner, Hailey Gruner, Madilyn Coyle, and Matthew Coyle; and one furbaby: Scruffy Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, William Gruner and son, Bill Tincher.
In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged to the Best Friends Day Center (Best Friends Landing Page - Christian Care Communities) or Kentucky Equine Adoption Center (Kentucky Equine Adoption Center).
Services celebrating Willie’s life will be held at Clark Legacy Center-Brannon Crossing:
Wednesday, October 29th: Visitation from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Thursday, October 30th: Visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
