Tri-ED names Kate Ferrer as new economic development manager


Northern Kentucky Tri-County Economic Development Corporation (Tri-ED) announced that Kate Ferrer has joined Northern Kentucky Tri-ED as Economic Development Manager.

“Kate’s experience in local and regional economic development and her specific training in economic development are strong assets,” said Dan Tobergte, president and CEO of Northern Kentucky Tri-ED. “The economic opportunities that exist in our region require talented individuals for continued growth. We’re looking forward to Kate’s contributions to our success.”

Ferrer was previously an economic development specialist for the city of Urbana, Illinois. She administered the city’s business incentives programs and assisted new businesses in locating commercial properties, navigating city services and identifying resources for relocating or expanding in Urbana. She earned a Master of Urban Planning from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Bachelor of Arts, business administration, cum laude, from the University of Florida.
