The Covington Business Council (CBC) and its nonprofit sister organization the Urban Partnership (UP) of Covington have announced their board chairs for 2015.
Scott Guenther, Managing Partner of Adams, Stepner, Woltermann & Dusing assumes the role of CBC Board Chair for a 12-month term, ending December 31, 2015. George Hagan, of Hagan Enterprises, and the former owner and President of Providence Pavilion, will serve in his capacity as Urban Partnership Board Chair for 12 months, ending December 31, 2015.

“Both Guenther and Hagan will provide great leadership for the organizations in the coming year, says CBC/UP Executive Director Pat Frew.
“Scott’s steady influence and keen mind are a great combination in providing leadership and direction for the Council,” says Frew. “It is no coincidence that the CBC is undergoing continued strong growth as we ended 2014 and begin 2015. In the last two months alone, we have attracted 12 new members, reaching the 225 total membership mark after staying stationary the past year hovering around the 205 mark.

“On the other hand, George Hagan, who actually took the leadership reins of the Partnership’s board in the middle of 2014, has already provided a strong vision and plan for what our business organizations can do to provide stronger leadership for Covington. His leadership along with the support of our boards have built a stronger foundation of political and vocal support for business in the City,” added Frew.
The mission of the Covington Business Council is to advocate for a healthy business climate in Covington. The mission of the Urban Partnership is to support existing Covington businesses in their efforts to grow and prosper and to attract new businesses to the City.
