Northern Kentucky University women’s basketball head coach Dawn Plitzuweit is excited to invite all girls in Grades 4-8 to once again join Coach P’s Platoon to help support the Norse women’s basketball team during the 2015-16 season.
Platoon members will enjoy exclusive inside access to the program throughout the course of the season, beginning with the opportunity to participate in the “Coach P’s Platoon Clinic” led by NKU players and coaches, held on Saturday, Nov. 7 from 10 a.m. to noon at Regents Hall on NKU’s campus.

Each member will receive an official Coach P’s Platoon t-shirt that provides free admission to all 17 home contests at the BB&T Arena during the 2015-2016 season. In addition, they will get to know each of the NKU women’s basketball players by receiving letters from them throughout the school year. All of these benefits are available for a registration fee of $25.
“We are really looking forward to getting to know the young girls in this community and sharing our basketball experiences with them!” added Plitzuweit. “This is the third year of the Platoon and this special group has grown quickly. We would love to have the girls who were a part of this in the past come join us again and we welcome any other girls in 4-8th grades to join as well. We can’t wait to spend time with these girls so we can get to know them better and to have a lot of fun together!”
Coach P’s Platoon is open to any and all entrants (limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender), and those unable to attend the clinic are still encouraged to join and receive the other membership benefits.
The team tips off Nov. 13 at Miami (Ohio), with the home opener coming two days later at BB&T Arena against Indiana State.
Join Coach P’s Platoon today returning the registration form to be a part of the force that propels NKU women’s basketball to victory this season. For additional information, contact women’s basketball graduate assistant Lauren Stodola at (859) 572-7893 or by email at stodolal1@nku.edu.
