Erlanger man killed while riding motorcycle on Houston Road early Saturday morning


Florence Police say an Erlanger man riding a motorcycle was killed early Saturday morning when he swerved to avoid a deer on Houston Road  early Saturday morning.

The Florence Police Department released this statement regarding the accident:

On 3/12/16 at approximately 4:20 A.M., the Florence Police Department responded to a single vehicle motorcycle accident on Houston Rd. The accident occurred on Houston Road between Ted Bushelman Boulevard and Kiley Place.

Jonathan Fogle, 27, of Erlanger, was riding his 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle southbound in the right lane of travel.

According to a witness, a deer ran across the roadway causing Mr. Fogle to swerve in order to avoid a collision. He then struck the curb and Mr. Fogle was thrown from the motorcycle.

He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. Mr. Fogle was transported to St. Elizabeth Florence where he was pronounced deceased.
