Do you know how the Panama expansion affects our region? “The Panama Canal Expansion Program will provide the largest shift in maritime freight that the U.S.A. has ever seen.  As a result, we will see reduced food costs and reduced inflation.  The expansion of the Panama Canal will allow U.S. exporters more access to Asian markets.  We will also see new lanes of import/export freight created that will benefit our NKY area,” explains Dave Hammond, President Inland Marine Service, Inc.

How does the expansion of the Panama Canal benefit our region, what have we done to prepare for this expansion and provide future opportunities for our businesses? Join us on Wednesday, July 8, from 9:30–11 a.m. at B&B Riverboats, 100 Columbia Street, Newport.
Panelists to include:

• Jonathan Miller, Former Kentucky State Treasurer
• Dave Hammond, President, Inland Marine Service, Inc.
• Eric Thomas, Executive Director, Central Ohio River Business Association
