Andrew T. Hawking, regional president, Northern Kentucky/Greater Cincinnati Region, BB&T, is chairing the 2016 United Way of Greater Cincinnati—Northern Kentucky campaign and is also serving on the Cabinet for the regional United Way of Greater Cincinnati campaign.

Hawking has served on the boards of Boys Hope/Girls Hope; Cincinnati Zoo Foundation; ArtsWave; Regional Economic Development Initiative, Cincinnati Regional Business Committee, and the Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce, along with Xavier University’s Economic Department.
He has been in banking for approximately 37 years, involved in a number of lending roles, primarily commercial and commercial real estate.
He has managed the Cincinnati Middle Market Lending Division for US Bank and has served as the Chief Lending Officer for The Bank of Kentucky. In his current role at BB&T, he has direct responsibility for managing and leading the growth of the bank’s market share in the region.
He earned a bachelor of arts from Indiana University and a master of business administration from Xavier University, and is a graduate of both Leadership Cincinnati and Leadership Northern Kentucky.
This year’s regional United Way campaign goal will be announced at the official kickoff, scheduled for noon on Aug. 24 at Fountain Square.
