Updating an earlier release from this morning, the Monday, July 4 game against the Southern Illinois Miners has been officially postponed. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Wednesday, July 6 with first pitch scheduled for 10:05 a.m.
Fans with tickets to Monday night’s game are eligible to exchange them at the UC Health Stadium box office for a future regular season Freedom game. Ticket exchanges are based on availability. An upgrade charge will apply to tickets exchanged for Super Premium promotional dates (Aug. 14).
Fireworks Update: Currently, the fireworks originally planned for Monday night are being rescheduled for Tuesday, July 5 pending acceptance by the insurance company. The insurance office for the fireworks show is closed for the Fourth of July holiday, and final confirmation will not be able to be made until July 5.
The Florence Freedom are doing everything in our power to secure the proper paperwork for the fireworks show to be shot off on Tuesday, July 5. At this moment, the Freedom are optimistic, but nothing can be 100 percent confirmed until the insurance office opens on Tuesday.

Freedom outfielder Godbold added to Frontier League All-Star roster
Freedom outfielder Andrew Godbold has been named a Frontier League Mid-Season All-Star. Godbold will represent the Freedom at the 2016 Frontier League Y’All-Star Game in Florence next Wednesday, July 13.
It is the first Frontier League All-Star selection for Godbold who is in his second season with the Freedom. In 2016, Florence’s outfielder is hitting .308 with 11 doubles, seven home runs, 25 RBIs, and 26 runs scored. He leads the team in doubles, home runs, and extra-base hits (18), while ranking second in RBIs and third in runs scored. His seven home runs also ties him for tenth in the Frontier League this season.
Godbold bolstered his All-Star case with a dominant home stand June 22-26. In the six-game span he went 12-for-24 with six doubles, three home runs, nine runs scored, and 12 RBIs. He helped the Freedom to a 4-2 record and 50 runs over the six-game span.
Players are nominated for the All-Star Ballot by their managers and are voted on by a combination of managers, coaches, broadcasters, and media.
Godbold and the West Division All-Stars will take on their counterparts from the East Division at UC Health Stadium next Wednesday, July 13 in the 2016 Frontier League Y’All Star Game. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
