More ‘sunny’ nonstop destinations coming, as Frontier expands service from CVG this fall

Frontier Airlines is adding three ‘sunny’ nonstop destinations from CVG in the late fall/winter season, including Tampa, Fort Lauderdale and Cancun, Mexico.

All three destinations will be served by 180-seat, A320 aircraft. Passengers flying to these destinations can find introductory fares* valid today, 7/19, only at flyfrontier.com:

Tampa (TPA): Introductory fare of $39. Service will operate four times a week, Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday starting on October 30.

Fort Lauderdale (FLL): Introductory fare of $49. Service will operate three times a week, Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday starting on October 30.

Cancun, Mexico (CUN): Introductory fare of $119. Service will operate on Saturdays as of December 17.

“Cincinnati fliers have told us they want more warm weather travel options when the weather turns cold,” said Frontier Airlines Chief Commercial Officer Daniel Shurz, senior vice president-commercial. “We’re excited to offer these great vacation spots so that travelers can get away during the late fall and winter.”

Frontier began service from CVG in May of 2013 with one daily flight to Denver.

In March of this year, Frontier celebrated its one-millionth customer at CVG by awarding that passenger with free travel on Frontier for one year.

“The growth of Frontier at CVG over the last three years has been tremendous,” said Candace McGraw, chief executive officer, CVG. “Frontier will maintain 50 flights per week through the winter with service to 10 nonstop destinations. This success would not have been possible without the support of the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky community.”
