Seventh annual Heritage Day and Chalkfest takes place in Historic Burlington Saturday


Northern Kentucky residents hankering to visit Historic Burlington can watch art as it is being created while artists draw chalk masterpieces on the town’s sidewalks.

Burlington ChalkfestView a large assortment of vintage cars, enjoy music provided by well-known DJs, TC and Rockin’ Renee. Kids are invited to create their own work of chalk art.

“This is the seventh year that local businesses have worked together to hold a Chalkfest in Burlington,” said Jackie Steele, president of Historic Burlington Business Association. “We are continuing to partner with Boone County Historical Society to combine their Heritage event with our Chalkfest. Add some vintage cars and a DJ to the mix, and you end up with a really fun family event. It gets bigger and better every year. We hope families will come to the event and visit some Burlington businesses while they are here.”

Burlington Chalkfest carsStop by the Boone County Historical Society Museum, located in the old County Court Clerk’s Office at 2965 Gallatin Street, to see a display of antique farm equipment.

Visitors can enjoy lunch in Burlington as local restaurants will be open for business and vendors will be selling Italian ice, hamburgers, hot dogs and more.
