Caddell is a 20-year veteran of the bank and has served in the Vice Chair role for the past 24 months as part of a board authorized succession plan.

He will follow his father, Arnold E. Caddell, the bank’s visionary founder.

Chris Caudell is a Boone County resident, has been married 28 years and has two grown children and a granddaughter.

He is a graduate of Baylor University in Waco, Texas with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Management and Marketing. Chris also possesses deep marketplace experience in many business sectors including residential development, residential and commercial real estate investment, commercial restaurant, and the automotive industry. He loves serving people by putting his faith in action through his church and local nonprofit entities.

“Chris’ scope of our operation is vast. He has worked front line positions, managed a branch office, been a long term loan officer and served 13 years on our Board of Directors,” his father said. “He has most certainly demonstrated the ability and passion to lead Heritage Bank into the future and I could not be more proud of what he’s accomplished.”

His father “has faithfully devoted the last 25 years of his life to building a financial institution devoted not only to serving the financial needs of our customers, but fostering personal lifetime relationships with a vast majority of people that he does business with. Arnold also created a work environment dominated by deep care for each and every person that worked for the bank and their families,” said Chris Caddell.

After an unprecedented 25-year run of leadership and the recent celebration of his 72nd birthday, Arnold Caddell has decided to work part time as Vice Chairman of the company for the foreseeable future.

Chris also had this to say about his father: “It has been a gift for me to work side by side with my Dad the past 20 years, affording me the luxury of learning the community banking business from the ground up. I have the deepest love and respect for my father and realized years ago that any business acumen and authentic care for people that I possess came from him. I am grateful beyond words and thank God for what I’m convinced to be a once in a lifetime occurrence in sharing the Heritage Bank experience with my role model, mentor and father, Arnold Caddell.”

Said Heritage Bank director Gary Griesser, “Arnold Caddell has always been an example to us as we have founded and grown Heritage Bank. He has led us through a phenomenal experience for the last 25 years and is now showing us how to successfully transition what we have built.”

As for the future, the bank plans to continue growing organically as an independently owned community bank as it has since its inception.
