Northern Kentucky Forum: If you aren’t worried about personal cybersecurity, you should be

October 1, 2016

The Northern Kentucky Forum’s next public service program will look at cybersecurity — and how you can protect yourself from all the risks out there, waiting to attack.

NKU’s Dr. James Walden will tell you why you should be concerned about your personal cybersecurity when you go online. And just as importantly, he and his team of computer science students will help you understand how to avoid some risks.

This fun, informative, interactive forum will take a closer look at cybersecurity — phishing, sniffing, cross-site scripting, all the things our there waiting to attack.

This program, offered by NKU’s Scripps Howard Center for Civic Engagement, will help you learn how to protect yourself. Other sponsoring partners are Skyward and Legacy.

The Forum will be held Oct. 20, 7-8:30 p.m. at NKU’s Dignitorium in Griffin Hall. It is free to the public. Parking is in Kenton Garage, where rates apply.
