NKU Forum cafe series talk: Journalist Al Cross leading a discussion about the election results

November 13, 2016

Given the interest in understanding Election Day results, the Northern Kentucky University Scripps Howard Center for Civic Engagement will be offering a special program on Thursday.

Journalist Al Cross, the longtime Courier-Journal columnist, KET pundit, UK professor and head of the Center for Rural Journalism will be in Covington on Thursday morning at 8 a.m. for a Northern Kentucky Forum café series talk.

The event is free and open to the public and will be held at the Gateway Covington campus: Center for Technology, Innovation and Enterprise at 516 Madison Ave.

There’s a lot to talk about:

· A Trump presidency has implications for our state: Will coal have a resurgence? Will Obamacare be gone? Will Sen. McConnell’s role be elevated?
· And a GOP governor, House, and Senate will have implications, too: Are right-to-work passage and prevailing wage repeal headed our way? How about abortion restrictions? School vouchers?

Coffee and bagels will be free.

Doors open by 7:45 a.m. We’ll have you out by 9 a.m.

RSVP at: https://alcrosscafe.eventbrite.com.
