Smoke Justis’ Opening Day in Cov street party will go on at Roebling Point; TANK shuttle to be available


The Smoke Justis “Opening Day in the Cov” Street Party at Roebling Point in Covington, is Thursday, March 29th.

As of now, the Roebling Bridge is scheduled to be shut down to pedestrians as well as vehicular traffic that day but not to worry.

Transit Authority of Northern Kentucky (TANK) will have you covered.

The official Opening Day in the Cov shuttle stop is on Park street and the shuttle’s frequency will be accelerated. Shuttles are expected to run every 10 minutes on average from Roebling Point to the Freedom Center at the Banks.

On one of Greater Cincinnati’s most celebrated days of the year, Covington will join in the festivities and Northern Kentuckians will not have to leave home base. Not going to the game? No worries. Live music will play from 1pm until 10 p.m. Come before, during or after the game for Opening Day in the Cov.

The party is open to the public for all-ages and will last from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m.

The Opening Day Street Party will include a Budweiser Build-a-Bar with built-in television screens to watch the Reds take on the Washington Nationals. The day will feature Smoke Justis’ famous smoked bratts and metts, live music from the Derek Alan Band, Blue Honey and The Tyler Moore Band. Cincinnati’s ESPN Radio will be broadcasting live from inside Smoke Justis at noon and Nash FM’s syndicated morning show hosts, Ty, Kelly and Chuck will join Cincinnati’s Amanda Orlando for a live show at 11am outside.
