Thomas More University senior pitcher/shortstop Alix DeDreu and junior first baseman Andrea Gahan have been named NCAA Division III All-Americans by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA).
DeDreu and Gahan become two-time All-Americans as DeDreu earned the honor in 2017 and Gahan received the recognition in 2018. They join Ana Walter as Thomas More softball All-Americans as she earned the honor in 2014.
DeDreu was a first-team selection in the utility position, while Gahan was named to the second team.
At the plate, DeDreu set the school’s single-season record for hits with 77, doubles with 26 and batting average with a .490 average. DeDreu is graduating with the Thomas More career record in hits (254), at-bats (607), doubles (61), runs batted in (149), wins (67), strikeouts (527) and ERA (1.73).
Gahan batted .439 with 14 home runs, 14 doubles, 53 RBI and 46 runs scored. Her runs scored and RBI are tied for second in Thomas More single-season record book, and her home runs are tied for third.
Gahan is ranked in the top five in four Thomas More career categories as she is tied for second in home runs (38), tied for third in RBI (42), fourth in both doubles (44) and home runs (five).
Thomas More concluded the season with a 34-11 record as it won the American Collegiate Athletic Association (ACAA) Championship and finished as NCAA Division III regional finalists.
