Amazon to hire 2,000 seasonal employees in Northern Kentucky — good pay and opportunities


As the 2024 holiday shopping season approaches, Amazon announced that it’s hiring for 250,000 full-time, part-time, and seasonal roles across the U.S., including 3,000 positions in Kentucky and 2,000 in Greater Cincinnati.  
 
Seasonal Amazon jobs offer competitive pay, flexible schedules, and the opportunity to be part of the bustling retail industry during its busiest time of year. Many of these seasonal roles also come with the potential to transition into regular, full-time employment after the holidays.

Amazon has already created more than 22,000 and 38,000 jobs respectively across Kentucky and Ohio. These jobs support communities of all sizes, from large cities like Cincinnati to small towns like Campbellsville. In Kentucky and Ohio, respectively, Amazon has invested $43 and $35 billion in the states since 2010, including infrastructure and compensation to its employees.
 
Earlier this month Amazon also announced its largest wage increase ever for hourly associates. Members of our front-line team will be getting at least an additional $1.50 per hour starting this month, which will bring their average base wage to more than $22 per hour.

• Amazon is investing $2.2 billion toward additional pay for operations network employees, bringing the average base wage to more than $22/hour and average total compensation to more than $29/hour when you include the value of their elected benefits.

• All seasonal employees earn at least $18 per hour, and have access to comprehensive benefits like health care coverage from their first day of employment.

• Approximately one-third of seasonal employees stay on year after year.

• Seasonal employees who stay at the company can see an average pay increase of 15% over their first three years.
