Milestones therapeutic equestrian center to mark 25th anniversary with a Rider Rodeo fundraiser

Milestones Therapeutic Riding Equestrian Center will celebrate the 25th anniversary with a Rider Rodeo fundraiser on Saturday, November 2, with events kicking off at 10 a.m. This year’s event includes rider horseback demonstrations, family-friendly activities, and delicious food, all while supporting Milestones’ mission to improve the lives of individuals with disabilities through therapeutic riding.

The Rider Rodeo will showcase the incredible knowledge, horsemanship, and riding skills of Milestones’ participants as they compete in a variety of adapted equestrian events. Riders will be judged as they navigate challenges like the Adapted Barrel Race, Adapted Cowboy Mounted Shooting, Adapted Cowboy Obstacle Course, Adapted Chicken Carry, and a stunning Liberty Demonstration.

In addition to the equestrian events, attendees can enjoy food provided by E.J.’s Southern Fixin’s Food Truck. There will also be games and activities for children, local craft vendors selling handmade items, and a chance to take photos with the horses.

“This is such a special year for us as we celebrate 25 years of Milestones and the first Rider Rodeo in place of our traditional Horse show,” said Sam Lange, Board of Director President at Milestones. “Not only does this event highlight the accomplishments of our riders, but it also helps raise critical funds to support the therapeutic riding program that benefits so many in our community.”

Entry to the event is just $10 per car, with all proceeds going directly to support Milestones’ therapeutic riding programs.

The center, located at 12372 Riggs Road, Independence, Kentucky 410151, is dedicated to empowering individuals of all ages with disabilities through the healing power of horses.
