The first-place Florence Freedom, presented by Titan Mechanical Solutions, continue their nine-game homestand this week as the Schaumburg Boomers and Washington Wild Things come to town tonight through Sunday.
The Freedom own the best record in the Frontier League at 16-5, and sit five games up in the West Division over the second-place Normal CornBelters. Fans will enjoy a wide variety of promotions that are unique to each game, starting with Military Appreciation Night on Wednesday.
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 7 — MILITARY APPRECIATION NIGHT (GAME TIME 5:35 PM)
The Florence Freedom’s annual Military Appreciation night will see the team wearing specialty camouflage jerseys. Active and retired military members and their families are eligible to receive complimentary tickets for the game, thanks to the community partners of the Florence Freedom.
THURSDAY, JUNE 8 — THIRSTY THURSDAY (7:05 PM)
The concession stands will offer $1 12-ounce cans of Hudy Delight, $1 16-ounce cans of Hudepohl, and $4 20-ounce craft draft beers from Christian Moerlein, Braxton, West Six, Blue Moon and Leinenkugel.
FRIDAY, JUNE 9 — ANIMATION NIGHT (7:05 PM)
The Freedom will celebrate a number of popular animated movies at the ballpark, and multiple costumed characters will be available for photo opportunities. Fans interested in having their photos taken with characters are encouraged to arrive early.
A post-game fireworks show will also take place, as well as a Boy Scout campout at the stadium.
SATURDAY, JUNE 10 — FREEDOM BEER FEST (6:05 PM)
Any fans of beer or baseball will not want to miss out on Beer Fest, as more than 20 different breweries will offer a variety of 40 different craft beers. Fans can get five-ounce pours and drink tickets in many variations, allowing for plentiful sampling of the night’s offerings.
The evening will also feature an appearance by the Zooperstars!, as well as a post-game concert by local band Drysdales.
SUNDAY, JUNE 11 — PBS KIDS NIGHT (6:05 PM)
The first-ever PBS Kids Night at UC Health Stadium will allow kids to join their favorite PBS characters Daniel Tiger, Super Why, Sid the Science Kid, and Buddy from Dinosaur Train for pictures and autographs on the main concourse.
