Home ownership and the American economy will be the topic of a free, public lecture by national reporter Josh Boak at Northern Kentucky University on Nov 14.
Boak, who is chief economics writer for The Associated Press, will present “The American Dream in a Turbulent Era” as part of NKU’s popular Six@Six Lecture Series.
“There is a lot of conversation in our country right now about wealth, income and pathways to economic security. Home ownership figures into that discussion,” said Mark Neikirk, executive director of NKU’s Scripps Howard Center for Civic Engagement, which hosts Six@Six.
“Josh, who covers the American economy, will provide a status report on the American Dream of home ownership. I think people will come away with an understanding of where we are now, and what trends are on the horizon.”
Presented by NKU’s Scripps Howard Center for Civic Engagement since 2010, Six@Six provides a series of interactive lectures that connect community members with experts to discuss topics of national and local interest. The series runs from October-April.
