In the most consequential elimination game of the day, Ryle knocked Conner out of the postseason with a 7-2 win in the teams’ district semifinal on Tuesday.
Newport Central Catholic baseball also qualified for the regional tournament, as well as the Conner, St. Henry, Dixie Heights, NewCath, Brossart and Campbell County softball teams.
Simon Kenton and Dixie Heights baseball won their District 32 and 34 district championship games, respectively.
