
Thomas More College junior designated hitter Donovan Pogue (Sharonville, Ohio/St. Xavier) has been named All-MidEast Region by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and the internet website D3baseball.com.
Pogue was a first team selection by both organizations. Earlier this month, he was named the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) Player of the Year and first team All-PAC by the conference’s nine head coaches.
Pogue led the team in batting with a .450 average as he was 67-of-149 at the plate. He had a team-leading seven home runs and 55 runs batted-in and 13 doubles to go with 25 base-on-balls. Pogue finished the season with a .678 slugging percentage and a .538 on-base percentage.
Pogue and the Saints finished the season with a 30-12 record, including an 18-6 mark in the PAC. Thomas More won the PAC regular-season and finished runner-up in the PAC Championship Tournament.
