NKU’s Alpha Omicron Pi to hold 2nd annual Sisters for Soldiers, for Yellow Ribbon Foundation

The women of Alpha Omicron Pi Fraternity at Northern Kentucky University are holding its second annual Sisters for Soldiers event to raise money for the Yellow Ribbon Foundation.

Sisters for Soldiers is an obstacle course that is set up to resemble an army boot camp.

The event will take place on Saturday April 21st from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on the park by Highland Heights Civic Center, off of John Hills Road, located at 3500 Martha Layne Collins Blvd.

All proceeds raised from the event will go to the Yellow Ribbon Foundation, which is a non-profit organization that sends care packages to soldiers overseas.

Last year’s first event raised over $2,000. This year’s goalis $5,000.

Any donation, whether it’s $1, making a team, or coming to the event and enjoying the festivities, will help us support our troops overseas and have fun all at the same time.

Those interested in making a team for the event, get five friends together, go to the Crowd Change page here to add your team! The event is $20 a person, which covers the cost of a T-shirt and food at the event. We are also selling t-shirts and accepting donations through the Crowd Change page.

Interested in attending the event? It’s $5 for admission and that includes food.
