
Children’s Law Center (CLC), a local nonprofit providing quality legal services to children in Kentucky and Ohio, celebrated its 25th anniversary with the third annual Dancing with the CLC Stars fundraiser and dance competition last week.
Inspired by the ABC-TV’s sensational show Dancing with the Stars, Dancing with the CLC Stars paired eight local celebrities with professional dancers from Arthur Murray Dance Center for the benefit.

By encouraging their families, friends, colleagues and associates to support their performances, eight celebrity dancers raised more than $84,000.
Celebrity fundraising champion was Dr. Barry Applegate of Applegate Dentistry who raised more than $14,500. Talent champion was Michael Monks, publisher of River City News, who scored a perfect 30 from the judges. Grand champion was Bethany Rustic Smith, Turner Construction Marketing Manager, who scored a near-perfect 29 and raised more than $13,700.

The event benefits the region’s most vulnerable and disadvantaged children by supporting the Children Law Center’s legal services program that result in better outcomes for children and youth in our communities. Children’s Law Center (CLC) does not charge any fees to its child clients or their families.
