Ryle and St. Henry track teams swept boys and girls division titles in the Northern Kentucky Athletic Conference Championships that were held over the past week at different sites.
In the other division, Villa Madonna and Dayton split the team titles in a pair of tight scoring battles that weren’t decided until the final events.
The Division I and II meets consisted of eight relay races and six field events where each team entered two athletes and their combined results were used to decide place points. The Division III meet included four relay races and 15 individual events.

Here’s a look at the winning team and top performers in each division:
DIVISION I
The Ryle girls posted the top team score in the large-school division with victories in three sprint relays and two field events.
The Raiders’ team leader was junior Juliet McGregor, who was a member of all three relay teams that placed first and won the long jump. Briana Reed was also on Ryle’s winning relay teams and Maddie Bloemer placed first in the triple jump.
On the boys’ side, Ryle won just two relays and placed second in four other events to score the most points in the 12-team field.
Ryle freshman Leo Bouldin won gold medals competing in the 4×200 relay and 110 shuttle hurdles relay. Jake Chisholm was also on the winning 4×200 relay and he placed second in both the long jump and triple jump events.
Covington Catholic won six events and tied for first place in another. Sam Schuh won the high jump and ran on one of the winning relay teams for the Colonels.
DIVISION II
The St. Henry boys team won six of eight relay races and two field events to take the team title by a 126-96 margin over Brossart.
Hayden Norris, Ethan Snyder and Sean Ryan were on three of the Crusaders’ winning relay teams. Mitchell McArtor won the long jump and was on two winning relays.
In the girls meet, St. Henry scored 48 points in field events and edged Newport Central Catholic, 112-106.
St. Henry senior Lily Marino placed first in the shot put and second in the discus. Her junior teammate Audrey McCoy was first in the triple jump and second in the long jump.
DIVISION III
Villa Madonna won all four relays and all three distance events to finish in top in the girls standings by one point over Dayton, 106-105.
The meet’s outstanding performer was Dayton sophomore Johnessa Barbiea, who won the long jump, triple jump, 100 and 200 dashes. Villa Madonna distance runner Maddie Dickman was a triple winner in the 800 run, 1600 run and 4×400 relay.
Dayton won the boys team title by a slim 139-135 margin over Villa Madonna to take home the other small-school championship trophy.
There were two triple winners in the boys meet. Bellevue senior Seth Evers won the 100, 200 and 400 sprint races. Villa Madonna senior John Komaromy-Hiller finished first in the 800, 1600 and 3200 distance events.
