The City of Covington’s Parks & Recreation Department is looking for residents to take a survey of four to six questions focusing on programs and activities in the City.
The survey responses will be used to guide future decisions on programming, where to spend money and assign staff, and what partnerships to concentrate on.
It’s a matter of making the best use of limited resources and giving Covington families what they’re interested in, said Recreation Program Coordinator Erin Smiley.
“In the Parks & Recreation Department, we’re focused on providing activities that promote healthy lifestyles for Covington families and build a sense of place and community,” Smiley said. “We want to match those activities to the needs and wants of our families.”
The survey can be accessed here.
Smiley said it contains only four questions with two opportunities to expand on answers. It takes about 80 seconds, according to the survey managers (but most people can fill it out more quickly).
The survey can easily be taken on a mobile phone, tablet or computer, and it’s designed with a “point and click” setup.
Smiley said the survey will be open through Dec. 6 and might be sent separately early next year to students in Covington schools.
“If you visit Covington’s parks and playgrounds or take your kids to any of our outdoor events, here’s your chance to weigh in,” she said.
