THURSDAY, MARCH

Race 1
PINOTAGE was second behind a repeat winner last out. She figures to be in good position from the outside post and a repeat of that one would be good enough to win tonight. THEA BEE broke her maiden when dropped to this level last out and figures to be the one to beat. AMIABILITY was an impressive debut winner for Larry Jones back in 2017 but has been off since that score. Watch the board on this one.

Race 2
PRIVATE BOONE lost all chance last out when he bolted entering the stretch. He ran well once he was straightened out and gets blinkers tonight. Give him the edge with Lezcano back aboard. FREDDIE K beat the top pick last out and has the speed to be dangerous again in here. IT’S GAME TIME rates a chance.

Race 3
MILLVILLE is a lightly raced 5-year-old who comes off back-to-back wins. She is capable of extending her streak tonight. LUCKY ME LUCKY YOU hasn’t won since 2017 but has a good record over this track and comes off a solid runner-up effort. She figures to be the one to beat. SHE’S A FINE LINE could wake up at nice odds.

Race 4
TESTY KITTEN is very good right now. He cuts back to six furlongs and figures to be running at the end in a race that should have a lively pace. Give him the edge in what looks like a well matched starter allowance race.  IMPROVISER is also running well. He will be on or near the lead throughout and a repeat of his last performance will make him tough to beat. SNOW LEOPARD is a 9-year-old veteran who fits with these.

Race 5
CUT ME LOOSE showed speed before stopping in his first race back after a layoff of nearly two years. He has had a couple of works since that start and figures to improve for Wes Ward with Machado picking up the mount. POURMEANOTHERONE looked good winning his last race for Jeff Greenhill. He has the tactical speed to be in contention throughout and is the one to beat. SPATETACULAR JOE is a solid contender.

Race 6
VERITAS was overmatched last out but is back in for a tag tonight. He has the tactical speed to be in good position throughout and gets the nod with Lezcano picking up the mount. UNITY broke his maiden last Thursday and comes right back on a week’s rest. Anything close to his best makes him the winner but the quick return and class drop make him questionable. RAF ran poorly at Fair Grounds but is in easier tonight.

Race 7
ALLURING AMERICAN has been off since August but has been training sharply for his return. He has been in the money in seven of his nine races and figures to be ready to go for Mark Thomas with McKee aboard. ANIMO needed his last race after a nine-month layoff.  He should move forward and looks like the one to beat. BARTOLOME MURILLO ran poorly last out but is capable of better.

Race 8
SWEETSONGOFTHENILE drops to the bottom and anything close to her best would make her a winner against this group. CAROLINA REAPER just missed last out and looks second best. TALK GAME fits in here.
