A new arts chapter will open Saturday for Main Street in Florence when Monalisa Miller’s Mudlark Pottery Studio and Gallery opens in a new location, with its grand-opening art exhibit.

Eleven members of the Boone County Visual Arts Association will show their work in the gallery space in the rear of 256 Main St., the same building occupied by the AllState Cottongim Agency.

Brittany Gillstrap will play live acoustic music on the stage, and Verona Vineyards will sample its wine.

In addition to the fine art and music, the 6-9 p.m. opening will include food, drinks and the opportunity to meet the artists.
