Adam Caswell will join Northern Kentucky University as Assistant Vice President for Government, Corporate and Foundation Engagement, Vice President for University Advancement Eric C. Gentry announced Thursday.
Caswell will serve as the University’s primary liaison to city, county, regional, state and federal government agencies, as well as to corporations and foundations.
“Adam brings an impressive combination of public and private sector experience, as well as a true passion for Northern Kentucky University,” Gentry said. “We are excited to welcome him to our team.”
Caswell, a 2009 graduate of NKU, is Vice President of Public Affairs and Communications at the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, where he serves as the primary liaison to local, state and federal agencies on behalf of the region’s business community.
In addition to his legislative experience, Caswell brings a deep knowledge of economic development issues, having led the Campbell County Economic Progress Authority and helped launch UpTech, the business accelerator founded in partnership with NKU’s College of Informatics.

Caswell previously worked in the Kentucky Justice and Public Safety Cabinet and in the administration of Gov. Steve Beshear.
The Bourbon County native lives in Fort Thomas with his wife, Rachel, and their young daughter.
He will join the University on Aug. 24.
The position of Assistant Vice President for Government, Corporate and Foundation Engagement was created following the retirement of Joseph E. Wind, the University’s Vice President of Government and Community Relations.
