Lieutenant Governor Crit Luallen touted Kentucky’s successful business and economic development initiatives, telling regional company executives in Northern Kentucky that Kentucky’s economic momentum makes the Commonwealth an ideal place to do business.
Speaking to business leaders and consultants from the Greater Cincinnati area who currently have companies in Kentucky or who may be considering locating new businesses here, Lt. Gov. Luallen said the economic synergies that exist between the regions make for strong partnerships.
“We share an airport. We draw from the same workforce. And when Kentucky does well, Cincinnati does well,” she said.
“Kentucky is a state on the move, breaking records in economic development and seeing dynamic progress in the education and health of our workforce,” Luallen added. “We have the momentum to build a new Kentucky for this new century.”
The speaking events were hosted by KentuckyUnited to promote the state’s many advantages as companies looked to locate or expand.
Among them: economic development initiatives that have led to record-setting investment; a strong focus on education at all levels, from early childhood to career readiness; the most successful expansion of health care benefits in the country; crucial logistical advantages, from an extensive highway system to two global air cargo hubs; and a robust tourism industry, just to name a few.
Over the past year the Lieutenant Governor has made similar visits to business leaders and consultants in Philadelphia, New York and Chicago.
KentuckyUnited is a public-private partnership of state, local and regional economic development organizations formed to market Kentucky’s business advantages to site location consultants and companies interested in siting a new location, expansion or relocation.
