Boone County Sheriff’s Office needs help finding driver involved in hit-skip on North Bend Road


The Boone County Sheriff’s Office needs help finding a driver involved in a hit-and-run incident with a pedestrian on Nov. 28. Details are provided below :

On Saturday, November 28, 2015 some time between 12:10 a.m. and 12:40 a.m. a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in the intersection of KY-237 (North Bend Road) and KY-20 (Petersburg Road) in Hebron, Kentucky. The driver opted to leave the scene and not render any aid to the fallen man.

Julius Bennett, 41 of Cincinnati (originally of Jamaica), after being run over and sustaining life-threatening injuries, managed to walk to the intersection of North Bend Road and Langley Drive (est.2,000 ft) before he collapsed.

Bennett, a large black man, was wearing a charcoal grey shirt and blue denim jeans when he was hit. He was transported to University Medical Center in Cincinnati, where he remains, not yet regaining consciousness.

Investigators are looking for anyone who might have information that could lead them to the vehicle or driver involved to come forward.
