Florence Police say Hood turned herself in and was served with a warrant today.

Charles Napier and his twin grandchildren were killed while walking along Weaver Road March 15.

Napier was pulling one of the children in a wagon, and an aunt was pulling the other child in a separate wagon. A Chevy Malibu left the road and struck them as they walked on the shoulder of the road.

Hood and three other people were in the car at the time of the accident.

Hood was indicted on three counts of Manslaughter 2nd and two counts of Assault 4th in the case. The grand jury that indicted Hood indicated she “acted wantonly” in the death of Napier and Samantha and Sean May, and the injuries to Susan Elam and Ethan May.

Hood is housed in the Boone County Detention Center.
